If you've got ovaries, you will experience perimenopause and menopause. These two phases of life come with physical and emotional changes that many people experience without much knowledge or support. Loved ones may not understand or may downplay the intensity of our experiences. Healthcare providers often disregard the impact on our quality of life or offer one-size-fits-all solutions.

Our bodies are changing in a myriad of ways, including irregular periods, hot flashes, libido shifts, mood swings, insomnia, vaginal dryness, pain during penetration, and orgasm changes. In this class, Tristan Taormino will talk about how these 'pauses' affect self-image, sex drive, desires, intimacy, and relationships. We'll discuss coping strategies, Western and alternative treatments, and creating your own holistic care plan. We absolutely can reclaim our bodies and our pleasure!

This class is open to attendees of all genders and will center people with ovaries.

Tristan Taormino is a writer, speaker, sex educator, and host of the podcast Sex Out Loud. She is the author of eight books, including her new memoir A Part of the Heart Can't Be Eaten and Opening Up. She is the founding editor of the annual Best Lesbian Erotica anthologies, editor of The Ultimate Guide to Kink, and coeditor of The Feminist Porn Book. She lives in Los Angeles.

You'll notice that we're offering two class cost options - $25, the regular cost of a She Bop class or workshop, and $15, a reduced cost option. While we want to make sure our instructors are compensated fairly for their hard work, we recognize that many of our community members are experiencing alterations to their finances at this time. If you are able to pay full price, we ask that you please consider doing so. If the lower cost option is a more accessible fit for you at this time, we encourage you to utilize that option.

Due to our commitment to paying educators fairly, all classes are excluded from sales and discounts.
