The holidays can present certain challenges when your identity and relationships are non-normative, especially if you’re the only alternative one in your family. Coming out to disapproving parents or negotiating plans with multiple partners can quickly feel overwhelming when you don’t have a roadmap. In this workshop, we will discuss the importance of chosen family, recognizing couple’s privilege, setting healthy boundaries with nosey relatives, and how to support your partners (and yourself) during family events. Whether you're bringing a partner home or going solo, you’ll leave feeling prepared, validated, and armed with exit strategies.

Sam Cat is the creator of Shrimp Teeth, a queer sex and relationship education project. As a peer mentor, they speak candidly about the challenges and joys of non-monogamy with clients and couples from around the world. Sam is the author of Polyamorous Advice You Won't Get From Your Monogamous Friends.

This class will be held LIVE online via Zoom — Zoom links are sent out 3 days prior and then again 1 hour before class. If you sign up within 3 days, please be patient in waiting for the final reminder email, which will be sent out 1 hour before the class.

The class will be recorded and available for a limited time shortly following the class. Registration deadline: 1 hour before class, Pacific time. No day-of cancellations.
