In the sex-positive community, we say "if it isn't a hell yes, it's a hell no!" That's great in theory, but what happens when someone is looking at you expectantly and waiting for an answer to their proposition?

If you falter, then torture yourself the next day for not saying no when you "should" have, you're not alone. The problem isn't you! Our culture gives us mixed messages about our ability and worthiness to say no, and we never have a chance to practice it in a non-pressured environment.

In this class with Leah Carey, we'll practice saying a confident "no." By the end of the class, you will have experience saying "no" in a variety of different contexts, from "hell no!" to "I don't have energy for that right now."

Our time together will include:

  • Group discussion about why saying "no" is difficult, and different types of "no" you might want to say
  • On-the-spot coaching so you can see the skills in action
  • Practicing the skills with each other in pairs and small groups

Come join us in a fun, participatory session where saying "no" will be joyful and hearing "no" will be music to your ears.

Leah Carey is a Sex and Intimacy coach and host of the podcast "Good Girls Talk About Sex." Her superpower is radical empathy. When you work with Leah, she reflects your true sexual nature back to you without judgment, so you can see yourself without shame. She works with individuals and couples eager to explore new avenues of their sexuality and fulfill their greatest desires, like: diving back into the dating pool after a long time away, having first-time queer experiences, investigating consensual non-monogamy, or learning how to communicate about kink.

You'll notice that we're offering two class cost options - $25, the regular cost of a She Bop class or workshop, and $15, a reduced cost option. While we want to make sure our instructors are compensated fairly for their hard work, we recognize that many of our community members are experiencing alterations to their finances at this time. If you are able to pay full price, we ask that you please consider doing so. If the lower cost option is a more accessible fit for you at this time, we encourage you to utilize that option.

Due to our commitment to paying educators fairly, all classes are excluded from sales and discounts.
