Life sucking your sexy? Leave your inhibitions and self-doubt at the door and let your inner showgirl shine in this body-positive burlesque class guaranteed to put a smile on your face and a wiggle in your walk!
Join high priestess of tease and ShowGirl Temple creatrix Eva D'Luscious to learn her "3Ps of Tease" and a sassy routine combining old time burlesque moves like bumps, grinds, shimmies and sassy struts. Through dance we'll co-create a safe, welcoming space where we can release our inner showgirls to perform and cheer for each other. Class will end with a delicious stretch and sharing session. Eva utilizes her lifelong dance and fitness training to connect you with your body and provide a solid foundation to move safely with confidence so you can dance through life, and get a surprisingly fun workout.
Wear a sassy outfit you can easily move in, and have a coat or robe available to practice peeling. Eva's rule about heels is high enough to feel sexy, low enough to be safe, and feels bare feet are also sexy. A water bottle and a playful attitude are a must!
Eva D'Luscious is a Portland-based MC, burlesque performer, producer and instructor known for putting her students at ease and instigating a love of all things sparkly. A self-avowed dance, holistic living and fitness nerd on a mission to unite and uplift through joyful movement, she has supported many people in revealing their sparkly selves and welcomes beginners and experienced dancers to her classes.
You'll notice that we're offering two class cost options - $25, the regular cost of a She Bop class or workshop, and $15, a reduced cost option. While we want to make sure our instructors are compensated fairly for their hard work, we recognize that many of our community members are experiencing alterations to their finances at this time. If you are able to pay full price, we ask that you please consider doing so. If the lower cost option is a more accessible fit for you at this time, we encourage you to utilize that option.
